Marlene Adams Farley

Marlene Adams Farley, 80 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House surrounded by her loving family.

Marlene was born on July 5, 1944, in Zanesville. She is the daughter of the late Raymond T. and Jeanetta A. (Stoneking) Brennan. Marlene worked as a Pharmacy Technician for Chapman’s Pharmacy in New Concord, as well as Shriver’s Pharmacy in Zanesville. She was the former Director of the Animal Shelter Society of Muskingum County, her love for animals was limitless. Marlene cherished her family. She loved to be surrounded by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was a dedicated mother who ensured her family was always cared for.

Marlene is survived by her children, Doug (Tanya Poli) Adams of the home, Kelly (Brian) Hina of Zanesville, and Jodi (Eric) McNally of Noblesville, Indiana; her grandchildren, Bradley Adams, Lyndsay (Cory) Fortenberry, Seth (Erin) Hina, Shaun, Garret (Jillian Kurtz), and Connor McNally; her great-grandchildren, Ryan, Grayson, and Emilia; her sister, Vicki (Don) Wolfe; her brother, Tom (Tammy) Brennan; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Marlene is preceded in death by her husband, Larry C. Adams, whom she married in 1962; her brother and sister, Jim Brennan and Debbie Mack; as well as her special friend, Don West.

The family asks for flowers to be sent in Marlene’s honor, or make a donation to any animal shelter of your choice.

Visitations for Marlene will be held from 1 pm to 3 pm on Monday, December 30, 2024, at the Faith United Methodist Church, 1616 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701. A funeral service will be held at 3 pm at the Church following visitations. Pastor Eric Waltemire will officiate the service. She will be laid to rest at a later date.
