Mark Anthony Shepherd

Mark A. Shepherd, 61, of Philo, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2020 at the Morrison House while under the care of Genesis Hospice.

Mark was born in Muskingum County on August 4, 1958.  He is the son of the late Thomas Jack Shepherd Sr. and Harriett Betty (Thomas) Shepherd.  He enjoyed watching football, especially the Cincinnati Bengals, watching baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves and he loved spending time with his family, especially his nephews.

Mark is survived by his sisters-in-law, Linda Jewell, Vickie Shepherd, Sarah Shepherd and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mark is preceded in death by his four brothers, Thomas ‘Jack’ Shepherd, Jimmie “Cricket” Shepherd, John Shepherd, and D. Bruce Shepherd.

In keeping with his wishes, a caring cremation will take place and the family will hold private visitations.  A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 14, 2020.  The Farus Funeral Home is caring for the Shepherd family.
