Marjorie Linkhorn was called home to the Lord when she passed away peacefully in the loving presence of her family in the early morning of April 14th while in the care of the Primrose Retirement Community of Zanesville, she was 91 years old.  Marjorie was born in Cambridge, Ohio to Mary Truex and Samuel Lester Turner.
She was a high school graduate of Byesville. She was a homemaker and also worked as a cook at East Muskingum School District. She was a member of the New Concord Methodist Church and belonged to the United Methodist Women’s and the Miriam Circle. Marjorie enjoyed reading and traveling, her family and grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents and a brother-in-law.  She is survived by her loving husband Jim, whom she enjoyed sixty-eight years of marriage with.  She will be greatly missed by her sons Robert (Carolyn) Linkhorn, Gary (Pat) Linkhorn, Richard (Rhonda) Linkhorn and her grandchildren Ashli, Brooks, (Sarah), Kimberly, Tyrel, (Molly), Krystal and Melissa. She also has one great grand-daughter Ryan.
The Farus Funeral Home of New Concord is handling the arrangements and invites friends and family to attend Calling Hours on Sunday, April 17th from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the funeral home;  the funeral will follow on Monday, the 18th at the New Concord United Methodist Church with a viewing at 10:00AM and the service starting promptly at 10:30. Reverend Karen Graham will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
