Marilyn Brosie

December 12, 1936 — January 24, 2017

Anna (Marilyn) Brosie, 80 of Chandlersville passed away peacefully on January 24, 2017 surrounded by her family at the Morrison House.

Marilyn was born December 12, 1936 in Zanesville to the late Clarence and Thelma (Adams) Bowers.  She was Baptist by faith and a 50+ year member of Olive Branch Chapter #251 Order of Eastern Star, a lifetime member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, and a lifetime member of the VFW.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Paul Wm. Brosie Jr., and a son, Roger Brosie.

She is survived by son, Loren (Sue Powell), daughters, Vanessa (Ed Fouts) Brosie, Valerie (Bob) Norman, and Vondalyn (Steve) Strauss; daughter-in-law, Martha Brosie; her grandchildren, Amanda (Mike) Smith, Amber (Eric) Hague, Abbie Tooms, Ashton and Aeriel Norman.

Olive Branch OES#251 will hold services on Thursday evening at 8 pm.

Marilyn’s family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held 11 am Friday, with Rev. Paul Thomas officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Chandlersville Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the staff at The Oaks at Bethesda, Genesis CCU, and Morrison House for their wonderful care during her final time on earth.
