Margaret J. Hartman

Margaret “Maggie” Hartman, 75, of Zanesville passed away March 13, 2016 while under the care of Genesis Hospice at the Morrison House. Maggie was born November 15, 1940 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Chester and Winifred (Hoppstatter) Chorjel.  She worked as a cook for the Franklin Local School District at the High School and Jr High School. Maggie was a member of the Chandlersville United Methodist Church.

Maggie is survived by a son Thomas L. (Regina) Hartman Jr. of Duncan Falls and a daughter Susan (Andy) Ault of Chandlersville; her grandchildren Seth, Zachary, Kyle, and Joel; her great grandchildren Alexa, Dalton, Slade, and Kolin (and one more on the way!); a brother Dave Chorjel of Zanesville; a sister-in-law Barbara Chorjel of Zanesville; Donna Mohn of Ashland, OH and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Lee Hartman Sr. who passed in 1995; a sister Evelyn Hartman and her brothers Bernie Stewart, Claude Stewart, Herman Chorjel, Thomas Stewart, and Pete Chorjel.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 6 pm Wednesday, March 16, 2016 with Dee Rader officiating, at the Duncan Falls Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.  The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is entrusted with caring for the Hartman Family.
