Luella Mae Murray

Luella M. Murray (Lou), 84 of Philo passed at 10:15 pm, Thursday, January 30, 2014 the daughter of the late Neil Wilson and Mable (Olden) Wilson, Philo, Ohio. Lou was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great -great grandmother. Lou worked at Essex in Zanesville, Ohio for a number of years and really enjoyed the fellowship she had with some of her fellow workers. Lou graduated from Philo High School and was a member of various clubs and committees: Girl Scouts, Art Club, Banquet Committee, Girls Basketball, Homecoming Committee, Annual Staff and Speed Demons. Lou loved traveling, shopping and spending time with her family. Lou had a unique way making people welcome in her home. Lou was an awesome cook and loved cooking for her family and friends. She had many dishes that were her favorites, one of which was her renowned sugar cookies. She will be sorely missed by all her family and friends. Lou was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Philo, Ohio and a 50+ year member of the Olive Branch Chapter of OES # 251. Lou was preceded in death by her parents, her Husband Clarence Murray, a sister Donna Wahl, and brother-in-law Donald Wahl, brother Wesley Wilson. She is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia L. (Gary) McNeish of Hampton VA. and Kimberly A. (Jerry) Maziar of Zanesville. Cynthia's children: Julie (Josh) Barmer, Edgewood, MD, Chad (Monica) McNeish, El Paso TX, Cody McNeish, Newport News, VA. Kimberly's children; Misty Collins, Duncan Falls, Matthew (Sheri) Maziar, Zanesville, Ashley (Noah) Bernard, Zanesville. Great Grandchildren: Jessica & Mo Ridley, Jordan Barmer, Edgewood, MD, Julian, Olivia & Sofia McNeish, El Paso, TX, Laila & Chloe McNeish, Newport News, VA, Mikaya & Kaden Collins, Duncan Falls, OH, Blake & Braden Bernard, Zanesville, OH, Luke Maziar, Zanesville, OH . Great - Great GrandChildren; Aniya Young, Levi & Mila Ridley, Edgewood, MD. Sister Susie (Larry) Sherburn, Newark, OH, Sister- in law Patty Wilson, Duncan Falls, OH. Brother-in-law & Sister -in-law Faye & Jim Gloyd, Columbus, OH. Several special nieces and nephews. Eastern Star services will be at 5:45 pm Monday before visitations. Calling hours will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Monday, February 3 2014 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday, February 4th with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
