Lois I. Buchanan
August 4, 1925 — April 17, 2016
Lois I. Buchanan, 90 of Chandlersville passed away on April 17, 2016 at the Clay House in Zanesville.
Lois was born in Zanesville on August 4, 1925, the daughter of the late John and Alma (Tom) Greiner. She retired in 1988 after 20 years working for the Post Office in Chandlersville and she was a faithful member of the Chandlersville United Methodist Church.
Lois is survived by her son Jim (Kathy) Buchanan of Zanesville, her daughter Linda (Fred) Adams of Nashport and a daughter-in-law Carol Buchanan of Chandlersville; eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and her sister Gertrude White of Sonora.
In addition to her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Buchanan who passed away May 4, 2013; her sons Gary Buchanan and Wayne Buchanan; her brothers Richard, Weldon, Bernard and Junior Greiner.
Please make memorial contributions in Lois’s name to the Chandlersville Community Building or to the Chandlersville United Methodist Church.
Calling hours for friends and family will be held Tuesday April 19, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday with Pastor Gary Fitzgerald officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Chandlersville Cemetery.
