Linda C. Emde

Linda C. Emde, 75 of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center with her devoted family by her side.

Linda was born on May 12, 1949, at Swan Hospital in Cambridge. She is the daughter of the late Willard “Dale” and Martha “Jean” (Hill) Kidder. Linda proudly served as a Deputy Recorder for Guernsey County, Ohio, where her dedication and professionalism made a lasting impact on her colleagues and the many people she helped throughout her career. Linda’s love for her family knew no bounds and she made sure they were always taken care of.

Linda is survived by her daughter, April (Matthew) Richardson; her grandchildren, Kayla (Jerry) Wheeler and Kolt (Kelsey) Richardson; her great-grandchildren, Jordan (Alyssa Turner) Wheeler and Jayde Wheeler; her two brothers, Brent (Jackie) Kidder and Keith (Dawn Rae) Kidder; her niece and nephew, Melanie (Jesse) Padgett and Craig (Sarah) Kidder; her sister-in-law, Mary Roederer; as well as many great friends.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by the love of her life, Jack Emde, whom she married on July 6, 1974, and who passed away on April 16, 2018; as well as her two special aunts, Donna and Wanda Hill.

A graveside service for Linda will be held at 1 pm on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Guernsey County Memory Gardens, 10171 East Pike Road, Cambridge. Ohio 43725. Ryan Boyer will officiate the service. Linda will be reunited with Jack at the cemetery.

A bonfire in honor of Linda will be held at 5 pm on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Oakridge Lane. Please bring a covered dish.
