Linda Faye Bernard, 80, of Zanesville, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the Morrison House under the compassionate care of Genesis Hospice.

Born on September 6, 1944, in Zanesville, Linda was the cherished daughter of Jack V. and Rachel (Wilson) White. She was a 1962 graduate of Philo High School and a proud member of the first graduating class of Licensed Practical Nurses from MAJVS in 1967.

Linda dedicated her life to serving others through her professional and personal endeavors. She worked as the manager for Malta Woodworking in Malta, Ohio, and served as the plant nurse for Essex Wire in Zanesville. She also worked as the office manager for Pediatric Associates and later as a unit clerk on the OB floor at Genesis Hospital. A devoted member of the Hopewell Free Methodist Church, Linda exemplified grace, kindness, and unwavering faith throughout her life.

Linda’s greatest joy was her family, whom she loved unconditionally and cared for deeply. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her home was a haven of warmth, love, and delicious food. She took immense pride in cooking and baking for her family, caring for her beloved cats, Max and Molly, and feeding her treasured hummingbirds.

Linda is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ben Bernard, whom she married on December 24, 1962. She is also survived by her loving children: Bart (Stacy) Bernard, Lori (John) Graham, Lisa (Paul) Bugglin, and Bret (Rebecca) Bernard; her adoring grandchildren: Noah (Nicole) Bernard, Danielle (Scott) Hurst, Courtney (Tyler) Dixon, Benjamin (Josie) Bernard, LeAnne (Kyle) Dunn, Levi (Jared) Dosch, Chase (Carley) Beardsley, Mary Graham, Melanie Graham, Lindsay (Jordan) Clark, Amber (Mitch) Rowe, Stephanie (Kristopher) Burkhart, Zack Stillman, Baylee (Jordan) Bernard, Bailey Stillman, Luke Liston, and Gracie (Dawson) Rush; as well as 27 beloved great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Kenneth (Susan) White, and her sister, Peggy (Robert) Griese.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Rachel White, and her sister-in-law, Kay Embree.

A private graveside service was held for the family, and Linda was laid to rest in Duncan Falls Cemetery.

Linda’s legacy of love, compassion, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
