Lester Anderson Jr.

Lester “Junior” Anderson, 87 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 20, 2022, while under the care of Genesis Hospice at the Morrison House.

Junior was born in New Carlisle, Ohio, on February 20, 1935. He is the son of the late Lester Sr. and Anna O. (Rogers) Anderson. Junior retired from AVI Food Service in 2006 where in Trucking and Food Control and he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Junior is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty (Jordan) Anderson, who he married on May 1, 1965; his two sons, Jeffrey (Chrisi) Anderson, and Michael (Carrie) Anderson; his grandson, Taylor (Katie) Anderson; his great-grandsons, Caiden, Dylan, and Lane; his siblings, Gene (Becky) Anderson, Douglas Anderson.

In addition to his parents, Junior is preceded in death by his sisters, Sally Lewkowich, Vonda Ratcliff, Shirley Ramsey, and Norma Roberts.

In keeping with Junior’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place and no services will be held at this time. The Farus Funeral Home is caring for the Anderson family.
