Leo A Paul Jr.

Leo A. Paul Jr., 92 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2021, while at Brookdale Nursing Home in Zanesville.

Leo was born on August 7, 1928 in Zanesville. He is the son of the late Leo Sr. and Hilda (Holzschuher) Paul. Leo worked as a mechanic at the Ken Brown Gulf Station, and also for the Zanesville Habitat for Humanity.  He was a member of the Philo United Methodist Church.

Leo is survived by his children, Beverley (Ken) Smith, Linda (Gary) Ewing, Cheryl (Glenn) Orwig, and Dennis (Sharon) Lyon-Paul; his grandchildren, Jana Tabor, Barry Smith, Randy Smith, Rebecca Naugel, Angela Dobbins, Marie Snider, Brian Orwig, and Xanthe Paul; his many great-grandchildren; his brother, Harold Paul; four sisters-in-law, Sara Friend, Katherine Walker, Ruby Shook and Bonnie Paul; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Leo is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Eloise (Shook) Paul, who passed away in 2005; his brothers, Donald Paul, Dean Dozer; and his sister, Patty Hayes.

In lieu of flowers, Please make memorial contributions in Leo’s name to the Philo United Methodist Church, 153 Main Street, Philo, Ohio, 43771.

Visitations will be held from 11 am to 1 pm on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be held at 1pm. Pastor Jeff Belt will officiate the service. Leo will be laid to rest beside his wife in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
