Lena Mae Crippen

Lena Mae Crippen, 93 of Norwich, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Lena was born in Springfield, Ohio on December 11, 1927.  She is the daughter of the late Delbert Raymond and Janie Ellen (Russell) Chaney.  She retired in 2002 from the Lear Corporation in Zanesville.

Lena is survived by her children, Mary Elaine Parmer, Harry William (Kay) Crippen, Cherry “Sherry” Ellen (Robert) Roberts, Jerry Andrew (Darlene) Crippen, Terry Mae (David) Klies and Billie Jean (Ryan) Gheen; 17 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; her brothers, Robert, Delbert and Fred Chaney; and her two sisters, Rhonda and Robin.

In addition to her parents, Lena is preceded in death by her husband, William H. Crippen, who passed away on May, 24, 2004; her granddaughter, Tammy; her great granddaughter, Ashli; and her great-great grandson, Cory Michael; and her sister, Clara; her brothers, Paul, Pearl, John, Richard, and Francis.

Visitations will be 11 to 1 pm on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord, where funeral services will be held at 1 pm.  Pastor Tim Pollock will officiate the service.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
