Larry L. Richards

Larry L. Richards, 73 of Zanesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Willow Haven Healthcare.

Larry was born February 3, 1951 in Zanesville to the late Leroy Neil Richards and Edith Jane (Yinger) Richards.

Larry worked at Goodwill, where he was the Goodwill employee of the year in 1973, and later Sears, and Bethesda Hospital. Larry lived in Arizona for over twenty years with his parents and enjoyed living there. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He enjoyed bowling. He loved riding in the side car of the motorcycle with his parents and riding his three-wheel bike and golf cart. He had a loving dog Louie who he cherished.

Larry is survived by his siblings Don (Juanita) Richards, Terry (Marsha) Richards, and Anita Richards; special friend Mike and Barb Sims; cousins Phyllis and Ron Payton; aunts Becky (Jerry) Hoskinson, Donna Moyer, Hilda Yinger, and Bernadette Hutchison; Bobby and Soni Carr; his nieces and nephews, Eric (Mary) Kennedy-Smith, Kylie Smith, Ryan Richards, Jeff (Kyliene) Newman, and Ryan (Andrea) Walker; as well as many cousins and friends.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Genesis Hospice for the wonderful care they have given Larry over the past year.

Per Larry’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm with Pastor Doris Flynn officiating. Larry will be laid to rest with his parents at Zanesville Memorial Park following the service.
