Larry W. Knicely passed away on Wednesday, March 30th while in the care of Bethesda Hospital, he was 66 years old. He was born in Sutton, West Virginia to Glenn and Muriel Knicely on August 20th, 1949. He served during the Vietnam Conflict, receiving numerous awards including a Presidential Citation, and a Purple Heart. He worked as a truck Driver, enjoyed the outdoors, most especially fishing and hunting, but his greatest joy was the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents. He will be deeply missed by his sons, Wayne Knicely and Scot (Penny) Knicely, as well as his daughter, Wendy (Merle) Knicely-Glass, his grandchildren, Sarah, Brooke, Austin, Tyler, Alyx, Zoe, Mackenna, and Vanessa, and his great-grandchildren, Kolton, Keagan, and Jozelynn.
Friends and Family are welcome to attend calling hours for Larry on Saturday, April 2nd at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord from 3 to 6pm, with services starting promptly at 6pm. Military Honors will follow services. A burial of Ashes will take place in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
