Larry E. Kirk

Larry E. Kirk, 73 of Chandlersville, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, April 28, 2015.

Larry was born October 20, 1941 in Zanesville the son of the late Edward W. and Naomi L. (Hook) Kirk.  He previously worked for Brockway Glass in Zanesville. In 1979 the family moved to Arizona to run and operate two successful businesses before returning home to Chandlersville in 1999.  After returning home he briefly worked for the Longaberger Company and Shrivers Pharmacy.  He was an avid model Railroad enthusiast, having spent 4 decades collecting and building several model railroad displays.  He spent his retirement years attending several classic car shows and showing his vehicles.  He wrote a book about his service as a volunteer Fire Fighter having served with Falls Township for numerous years. He is a member of the Chandlersville Church of Christ and he served his country in the US Air Force.

Larry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sondra J. (Savage) Kirk whom he married November 21, 1964; his two sons Roger Lee Kirk and Bill E. Kirk both of Chandlersville; his two granddaughters Jessica L. Kirk and Jennifer A. Kirk.

A memorial service will be held 9:45 am, Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the Chandlersville Church of Christ, 9075 Chandlersville Road, Chandlersville, OH. with Rev. Wayne Andrick officiating.
