Kathryn June Ross, 90, of Roseville, born June 29, 1934 to Charles Williamson and Beatrice (O’Reilly) Williamson died Saturday September 14th at her home.
Kathryn was the first woman in Muskingum County to be elected to serve as a trustee on the Brush Creek Township. She milked cows on her farm, and also raised horses and goats. Kathryn and her husband, Delbert, owned and operated the Red Slipper for several years in Cannelville. Kathryn had a soft place in her heart for disabled animals, especially dogs.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Delbert Ross, sister, Carla (Michael) Reed, brothers-in-law, Fred (Annalee) Ross, Johnny Ross, sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Loomis and Freda Pennybaker. She leaves behind a special nephew, Charles (Teresa) Williamson, niece, Tina Bina, nephews David and Brian Williamson, special great-niece, Abbie, many great-nieces and great-nephews, very special friend, Matt Mayle and constant companion, Smokey-Joe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Clyde and Lector Williamson, siblings Lawrence (Jeanne) Williamson, Donna (Pat) Runions and Dale (Janet) Roberts, nephew, Timothy (Barb) Williamson.
The family wishes to thank Angie Lear and Genesis Hospice for the love and care extended to Kathryn.
Visitations for Kathryn will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the funeral home. Chaplain Tim Patton will officiate the service. Kathryn will be laid to rest in Stovertown Lutheran Church Cemetery.
