Cambridge

Julia J. (Iwanejko) Baker, 89 of Cambridge, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 30, 2022.

Julia was born in New Castle, PA, on March 15, 1933. She is the daughter of the late John J. and Marie D. (Korab) Iwanejko. Julia worked as a baker for many years in New Castle, PA. Julia spent a lot of her spare time crafting, making ceramics, and embroidering. She loved to watch church services online, and even attended bible study sessions in her apartment. Julia loved to spend time spreading the word about Jesus Christ, but her favorite way to spend her time was with her family.

Julia is survived by her three daughters, Elizabeth (Allen) Fikse, Loretta Pennie, and Lisa (Michael) Patrick; her grandchildren, Jaeson Fikse, Nathan Fikse, Louie Pennie, Lisa Pennie-Sims, Michael Patrick, Melissa Patrick, Patricia Patrick-Royalty, and Amber LaMonte; her twenty-seven great-children; her siblings, Loretta Kendall, and John Iwanejko; her sister-in-law, Beverly Sue Baker;  and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Julia is preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Baker, who passed away on June 29, 2011; her son, Richard A. Baker; her son-in-law, Don K. Pennie; and her six siblings.

In keeping with Julia’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place and no services will be held at this time. The Farus Funeral Home of New Concord is caring for the Baker family.
