Judy A. Strong

Judy A. Strong, 76 of  Hopewell, passed away peacefully at her home on June 13, 2021.

Judy was born in Zanesville on July 5, 1944. She is the daughter of the late Roy H. and Geneva (Reed) LeMaster. She was a loving mother and grandmother to everyone she met. She never met a stranger, and she was very kind hearted to those who deserved it.

Judy is survived by her children, Jack (Lisa Dovenbarger) Strong Jr. of Hopewell, and Renea (Brian) Starner of Hopewell; her grandchildren, Jacob (Aryka) Strong, Nicole (Dakota) Garey, Dalton Strong, Briar Starner, M’Ber Starner; her great-grandchildren, Devon and Alaynea Strong, step-great grandchildren, Katelyn and Truett; her siblings, Ken Reed of Zanesville, Betty Palmer, and Ron Reed; her special friends, Carole and Rick Lewis; and her favorite grand-puppy Ash.

In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Jackie L. Strong  Sr., who passed away in 2010; her grandchild, M’Kenzi Starner; her sister, Janice Palmer; and a special friend, Linda Bell; step-granddaughter-in-law, Rachel Grable-Strong.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the form of sewing materials, or financial contributions, in Judy’s name to the volunteers at Genesis Hospital who make pillows for heart surgery patients, as well as the volunteers who make blankets and hats for stillborn babies, to Genesis Hospital, 1135 Maple Ave, Zanesville, OH, 43701.

In keeping with Judy’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place, and no services will be held at this time. The Farus Funeral Home of New Concord is caring for the Strong family.
