Juanita "Nita" L. Norris

Juanita “Nita” L. Norris, 67 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House with her loving family by her side.

Nita was born on May 5, 1956, in Zanesville, Ohio. She is the daughter of the late Elijah F. and Lafern (Samson) Edington. Nita loved laying out in the sun at the beach, playing games on her phone, and most importantly spending time with her family. Nita was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose memories will always be cherished by the ones she leaves behind.

Nita is survived by her devoted husband of thirty-nine years, Gregg Norris, whom she married on February 17; her children, Michelle (Fred) Morgan, Shree (Brian Boyd) Hutton, James (Shannon) Stackhouse; her grandchildren, Octaisha, Gage, Kiera, Taylor, Shreona, Thomas, and James; her great-grandchildren, Clayton, Hayden, Kingston, and Zuri; her sisters, Vonnie (Tom) Dunaway; her mother-in-law, Sam Norris; her brothers-in-law, Ronnie Norris, Chris Norris; her sister-in-law, Autumn Norris; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Nita is preceded in death by her siblings, Helen Mummy, Frank Edington, Lynn Edington, Jenny Samson, and Pauline Samson; her nieces, Polly Samson, and Doty Samson; her nephew, Bobby Dale Samson as well as her father-in-law, Ronald Norris Sr.

Visitations for Nita will be held from 4 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.
