Joseph C. Arbuckle

Joseph C. Arbuckle Jr., 76, of Malta, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 2, 2022, while at Genesis Hospital.

Joe was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania on October 1, 1945. He is the son of the late Joseph C. Arbuckle Sr. and Louella (LeGrange) Arbuckle Butcher.  Joe was a jack of all trades, having worked for his construction company as a roofer; he also worked as a car salesman in Zanesville, a bus driver for various area School Districts, a taxi driver, for Kellogg’s Company and also for the Longaberger Company.  He enjoyed crafting and his hobbies, which included working on old cars, fishing, and building things out of old pop boxes and popsicle stick. He previously attended the St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sharon, PA. He was a member of the FOE #2187 in Malta and also VFW post #4713 in Malta; and he proudly served his country in the US Air Force.

Joe is survived by his wife Cristina M. (McCune) Arbuckle, whom he married October 7, 2007; his daughter, Rosanna “Annie” (Michael Tolewitz) Arbuckle; his step-children, Wynonna (Dwight) Minner, Jacob (Arisha) McCune, Justin (Jamie) Gilmore, Joshua McCune, and Richard Hambrick; his grandchildren, Jessica, Travis, Ricky, Adrian, Andrew, Aiden, Nathan, Kyle, and Tina; his great grandchildren, Kaydance, Khloe, Trey and Landon; his step-brother,  Randy Butcher; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his step-daughter & husband, Patricia and Rick Swisher; his granddaughter, Natalie McCune; his sister, Louella Kinder and his step-sister, Judy Meanor; his step-brother, Charles Butcher and Sharma Gillenwater; and Rose Wolford-Arbuckle.

Visitations will be 11 to 1 Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held at 1 pm with Pastor Bill Blair will officiate the service.  He will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
