Jon E. Grim

Jon E. Grim Sr., 68 of Cumberland, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Jon was born in Steubenville, Ohio on October 4, 1955.  He is the son of the late Martin and Linda (Fowler) Grim.

Jon previously attended the St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Cambridge.  He was an avid car guy, he enjoyed working on cars, building model cars, and watching shows about restoring old classic cars.  Most especially he loved the time he spent with his family and his grandson Anthony.

Jon is survived by his wife, Cheryl A. (Galownia) Grim, whom he married July 10, 1984; his three children, Russell W. Cochran, Jon E. Grim Jr., and Yvonne (Nicholas) Moore; his grandchildren, Jesse, James, Ryan, Audrey, Malachi, Kevin, Saleen, Emma and Anthony; his two great grandchildren, Anastacia and Adian; brother, Rick (Bettina) Piatt; three sisters, Emily, Candy and Terri; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jon is preceded in death by his brother, Marty Grim.

A caring cremation will take place and no services will be held at this time.  The Farus Funeral Home of New Concord is caring for the Grim family.
