Jon-Erik M. Nicholson

Jon-Erik M. Nicholson, 37, of New Concord, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025.

He was born on September 4, 1987, in Cambridge, Ohio, a son of the late James E. and Rhonda G. (Best) Nicholson. Jon worked in the construction field, specializing in concrete work for various companies throughout the area.

Jon-Erik had a deep love for his family and cherished the time he spent with his friends and loved ones. Known for his adventurous nature, he enjoyed driving monster trucks and demolition derby cars and loved riding four-wheelers.

He is survived by his sisters, Andrea Nicholson, Kara (Doug) Goins, Tia (Tom) Small, and Tracie (Darren) Mallett; his half-sisters, Kayla Curtis and Mariah Newman; and his grandmother, Geraldine Hughes. Jon-Erik is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Roger and Idora Nicholson; Maternal Grandparents, Lewis and Edith Best; Grandfather, Walter Hughes Sr., and his aunt and uncle, William “Bill” and Barb Nicholson.

In accordance with Jon-Erik’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place. The Farus Funeral Home of New Concord is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements for the Nicholson Family.
