John "Bubba" R. Davis

John “Bubba” Roland Davis, 51 of Zanesville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 15, 2024.

Bubba was born on January 10, 1973, in McConnelsville. He is the son of Linda and Chuck (Sloan) Grubb.

Bubba worked on track maintenance for Genessee and Wyoming Railroad Services. He married his loving wife Betty (Tracey) Davis on February 14, 2003, and enjoyed hunting and golfing. He loved watching Ohio State football and the Cleveland Browns. He was a great person, and loved to vacation and travel in his spare time.

In addition to his parents, Bubba is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Betty Davis; his step-children Stacey Saxton and Ryan (Jody) Saxton; his eight grandchildren, Dakota, Brett, Colton, Alexus, Erica, Makale, Kingston, and Ethan; one great-grandchild, Kata’laya; his step-father Chuck Grubb; special friend Nick Porter; special Aunt Pat (Paul) Deem; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Bubba is preceded in death by an infant brother; his grandparents Ralph and Donna Sloan; and his loving dog Rudy.

Visitations for Bubba will be held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, January 22, 2024 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. A funeral service for Bubba will be held at 2:00 on Monday, at the funeral home. Rev. Darren Tolbert will officiate the service.
