John Michael Allen
January 11, 1940 — September 1, 2016
John Michael Allen, 76 of Blue Rock, passed suddenly at his residence on September 1, 2016. John was born on January 11, 1940 in Ann Arbor, MI but was an Avid Ohio State Buckeyes Fan!
John retired as Sgt. Major in the US Army after serving 26 years.
He is survived by his wife Joyce A. Allen whom he married April 29, 1969; his two daughters Jodie Dew and Linda Quattlebaum; his grandchildren John Lyall, Michelle (Duane) Smith, Hanna Lyall, Heidi Lyall, Kryssa Lyall, Olivia Lyall, Brian Quattlebaum; fourteen great-grandchildren; his brother Robert Allen and his beloved fur babies.
John is preceded in death by his parents Stanley C. and Edna Allen; his one brother and two sisters.
In keeping with his wishes, a caring cremation will take place and no services will be observed.
