John Klies

John Lewis Klies passed away Tuesday, August 5th, 2014, he was 78 years old. He was born August 14th, 1935 in Blue Rock, Ohio to Harry and Vesta Klies . He worked various jobs throughout his life, such as John's Stump Removal which he owned and operated, but he was first and foremost in his heart, a farmer. John loved his family, and loved spending time with his friends. He loved to chat, and could while away the day conversing with his friends and family. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force, and belonged to the Oddfellows, and the Rebeccas organizations. He is predeceased by his siblings, Odus Klies, Arthur Klies, Harry Klies, Jr. Gerald Klies, Bill Klies, Evelyn Dickson, and Doris Cravenor. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Ellen Klies, and their children; daughter, Kathy Ann Deery, and sons, David Lewis (Terry Mai) Klies, John Jay (Casey) Klies, and William Edward (Rebecca) Klies. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Brandon, Zac, Kaitlin, Rachel, Ben Cooper, Peyton, and Jack, also including great-grandchildren Keyon and Chloe. Friends and family may gather at the Bloomfield Church, 5580 Friendship Dr, New Concord, OH on Friday, August 8th from 10 to 11AM. Services will promptly follow at 11AM, with Pastor Tim Pollock officiating. Burial will take place at Guernsey County Memory Gardens following services. Services are being cared for by the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord, formerly the Mock Miller Funeral Home. Calling Hours have been added for John Klies.
