Obituary

Jean Carole Warne, age 79, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully at Southeastern Medical Center on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. She was born to the late Paul and Helen (Jasielum) Little Sr. on March 14, 1947 in Zanesville, OH.

Jean graduated from John Glenn High School in 1965. Later she attended adult classes at Mideast Vocational School where she earned her nursing degree in 1989. Jean proudly worked as an LPN at Southeastern Medical Center for 29 years until she retired in April of 2017. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Church and sang with Sweet Adeline’s Friendship 7 for 15 years. Jean had an artistic heart and loved playing piano, painting, drawing, ceramics, and singing at church. More than anything she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jean never met a stranger and was well loved by all who knew her.

After her retirement, Jean continued to serve her Lord and Savior, using Joshua 1:9 to guide her, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” With this in mind, she faithfully sent daily devotions to more than 25 friends to uplift and encourage them for many years.

Jean is survived by her children, Trudi (Sean) Scott and Pastor Eddie Warne both of Cambridge. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Skyler Richmond, of Cambridge, and Breck Richmond, of Newark and great grandchildren, Briar and Fowler Richmond, of Cambridge, who all affectionately knew her as Nannie. Jean’s beloved dog and princess, Gracie will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her brother, Paul Little, Jr.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Enclave of Cambridge, especially to aides Taylor, Mazzie, and Tes and to Nurses Mary and Becky for all their love and care.

They would also like to thank Southeastern Medical Center Emergency Department and Chaplain Services for all their work and care.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held at this time.
