Janice L. “Jan” Lucas, 87, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, at her daughter’s home while under the care of Genesis Hospice.

Jan was born in Zanesville on August 30, 1938, the daughter of the late Issac and Leona M. (Keener) Stansberry.

She worked for the Domino’s Ohio Commissary for more than 21 years. Jan loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed shopping in Amish Country.

Jan is survived by her children, Kimberly (Bob) Vousden of Zanesville, Jeff Lucas, and Ryan (Cindy) Lucas; her grandchildren, Allison (James Simon) Vousden, Annie (Heath) Nesselroad, Alex (Lauren) Vousden, Nicole (Ray) McFerren, Joshua Lucas, Daniel Lucas, Monica (Byron) Gaines, and Brooke (Joseph) Jackson; and her great-grandchildren, Cordelia, Noah, Henry, Liam, Nash, Case, Mason, Bayleigh, and Beckham and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Lucas, whom she married on May 10, 1959, and who passed away on March 12, 2005; her brothers, Robert D. Stansberry and Gene Stansberry; and her sister, Alice Clice.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Maranatha Bible Church, 2400 Chandlersville Road, Zanesville. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Chris Brown officiating. Jan will be laid to rest beside her husband in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
