Jane J. Alexander

Jane J. Alexander, 92, of Duncan Falls passed away at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 1:39 am. Jane was born February 8, 1922 in New Castle, PA the daughter of the late Joseph and Aniela (Magusiak) Koszela. Jane graduated from New Castle High School in 1940 and worked at the Lawrence Co. Court House until she married Robert G. Alexander on October 14, 1951. She moved to Duncan Falls and helped him in the jewelry store for 47 years until his death on March 16, 1998. Jane is a member of the Holy Trinity P.N.C. Church in New Castle and a friend of the Duncan Falls United Methodist Church. Surviving is one son Donald G Alexander of Duncan Falls, a brother Alfred (Olga) Koszela of New Castle, Pa., sister in laws are Mary Koszela of Pa, Edith Rayner of Duncan Falls, Twila Alexander of McConnelsville and Frances Koszela, plus many nieces and nephews in Pa and Ohio. In addition to her parents, Jane is preceded in death by her husband Robert G. Alexander her brothers William, Stanley, Henry, Raymond, and Edward Koszela and a sister Helen Gargasz. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Wednesday, July 9th at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls; visitations will be 2 to 4 Thursday, July 10 at the Noga Funeral Home in New Castle, PA; funeral services will be held 11 am Friday, July 11 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls with the Rev. Karen Osborn and Pastor Eugene Neyhart officiating. Jane will be laid to rest beside her husband in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
