Jan Wilson

Jan Wilson, born in 1958 in Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on February 28, 2024, in Bradenton, Florida. Jan was a 1975 graduate of John Glenn High School in New Concord, Ohio and a 1979 graduate of Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin.

Jan’s lifelong career in Information Technology included many years as a member of the Information Systems Department at the world-renowned Marshfield Clinic in central Wisconsin. At the time of her passing, Jan was employed by the global technology firm Sikich, where she worked remotely for their Naperville, Illinois headquarters.

Jan’s passion for various types of arts and crafts and her love of traveling are only two of many qualities for which she will be remembered. Her concern over hunger in America was a lifelong passion and her generous spirit and compassion were felt by many.

Jan predeceased her mother, Sharon Sides Wilson, who passed away on March 18, 2024.  She leaves behind her four siblings, Mike (Yvonne) Wilson of Flagstaff, Arizona, Mickey Wilson-Skarr (John Skarr) of Bradenton, Florida, Marty Downey (Kent Schrock) of Poway, California, and Jody (Carl) Christensen of Terra Ceia, Florida, plus many other family members and friends who loved her.

A Celebration of Life to honor Jan and Sharon Wilson will be held in New Concord, Ohio on Saturday, October 5, 2024. If interested in attending, please contact the family by calling (508) 523-8440 or by e-mail to [email protected] .
