Jamie D. Moody

Jamie D. Moody, 48 of New Concord, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the Beckett House with her family by her side.

Jamie was born on October 7, 1975 in Cambridge, Ohio. She is the daughter of Terry Phipps and the late Julie E. (Vickers) Aikens. Jamie attended and graduated from John Glenn High School in 1994. She was a devoted mother and wife, her life centered around ensuring her family was loved and cared for.

Jamie is survived by her husband, Brian C. Moody, whom she married on May 17, 2006; her two sons, Matthew Hutchins and Caleb Moody; her brother, Jon Phipps; her aunt, Mary Ruffel and uncle, Jody Vickers; as well as several siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

In addition to her mother, Jamie is preceded in death by her son, Justin Hutchins, who passed away in December of 2009; as well as her brother, Danny George.

A graveside service will be held for Jamie at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the New Concord Cemetery. Pastor Tim Pollock will officiate the service. The Farus Funeral Home of New Concord is caring for the Moody family.
