James W Pennell

James  Pennell passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 1st, 2017 while in the care of Genesis Healthcare of  New Lexington; he was 81 years old.  He was born in Woodsfield, Ohio on June 12, 1935 to Halbert and Ada (Rubel) Pennell.  James was an electrician by trade; he had a great enthusiasm for the ’55 Chevy, and spent his free time doing the things he loved such as farming and rebuilding cars.  The true love of his life was his family, whom he cherished and cared for as only a devoted father and husband could.

James is survived by his children including, Janice (John) Coleman, Rusty (Sherry) Pennell, Rob (Regina) Pennell, and Randy Pennell.  He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Jessica Wilson, Josh Coleman, Dirk Pennell, Mike Pennell, A.J. Pennell, Paige Pennell, Shayla Pennell, Colton Pennell, and Jyliann Pennell; as well as his great-grandchildren Jaycee, Jersey, and Jarrett Wilson; Maeli, Payton, and Kelly Marie Pennell, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife of 60 years, Patsy Pennell, who passed away on September 11, 2016.  The family would like to thank the workers of Genesis Healthcare for the care and compassion they have given to James.
