James Lynn Neal

James L. Neal, 81 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2021, while at his home.

James was born in Urbana, Ohio, on June 13, 1940. He is the son of the late George and Francis (Maddox) Neal. James worked his way up through Robins Myers of Springfield, starting out on the docks and retiring as a floor supervisor after 36 years of faithful service. He was a hard worker, and never missed a day. James was fascinated by cars, loved his Pepsi, loved listening to Bluegrass, and faithfully watched Wrestling, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, and Rawhide. He was a huge fan of Chuck Norris, but he was an even bigger fan of his family.

James is survived by his loving children, Tammy Marie Simmons, Thomas Eugene Neal, Candi Lynn (Anthony) Lewis; his nine grandchildren; his thirteen great-grandchildren; and his seven siblings.

In keeping with James’ wishes, a caring cremation will take place, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is caring for the Neal family.
