James F. Boetcher

James Frederick Boetcher, 79 of Zanesville, Ohio passed away peacefully 26, January, 2022 in his home with his loving wife by his side. He was born January 29th, 1942, in Muskingum County, Good Samaritan Hospital to the late Harold and Helen (Collins) Boetcher.

He was a 62-year member of the “United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America”, both in California and Ohio. He spent most of his years a true horseman, breaking, training, showing, and trail riding horses. He was active in 4-H as an equestrian advisor. Jim was founder and craftsman of his western leather shop “Triple Nickel”. He also enjoyed his bouts as a truck driver. After retirement, Jim and his wife enjoyed traveling the United States, “snow birding” in the warm parts of the country. They were proud members of Seneca Sam’s Camping Chapter. Jim was an avid fan and supporter of all his grandchildren and their endeavors.

Jim along with his wife was a proud member of the Duncan Falls Baptist Church.

He leaves his wife of nearly 62 years, Frances R. Boetcher; daughter, Beverly Huston of New Concord, Ohio; daughter, Brenda (Marty) Miller of Zanesville, Ohio; grandchildren Jessica (James) Armes, Megan (Troy) Weddington, Donna Huston, Melissa (Seth) Harper, Jacob (Patricia) Ellis, Lucas (Sadie) Miller; great-grandchildren Chelsea Armes, Nathan Armes, Sophie Harper, Emmet Harper, Eliza Harper, Cassidy Huston,.Jaxon Ellis, and Axel Ellis; brother Norris (Martha) Boetcher, sister Nancy (Ron) Henley,

He addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Harold E. Boetcher.

Visitations will be 11 to 1 pm on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.  Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, following visitations.  Pastor Gerry Wade will officiate the service.
