Jack W. Steed

Jack W. Steed, 66 of Philo, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2016 while under the care of Genesis Hospice at the Morrison House.
Jack was born in Zanesville on November 29, 1949; the son of the late Frank and Ellen (Worthington) Steed. Jack was a member of the Roseville American Legion Post #71 and he served his country in the US Army.
Jack is survived by his children Luke Steed of Philo, Kala Steed of Duncan Falls, Kari Steed (Justin Soller) of Nashport and Cheryl Steed of NC; his six grandchildren Mylee, Peyton, Jordan, Jada, Jc and Nathaniel; his brother Frank “Sonny” Steed of Duncan Falls and sisters Ruth Nutter of MO and Carol (Mitchell) Wider of Zanesville and his special friends Cleo, Donnie and Mindy Cotrell and Jocelyn Kemerer and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his nephew Frankie Steed, his niece Julie Steed Barker, Sister in law Edna Steed and brother in law Gerald ‘Mitch’ Mitchell.
Calling hours for friends and family will be held from 2 to 5 pm on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Graveside services will be held 11 am Monday at the Duncan Falls Cemetery with full military honors provided by VFW Post # 1058 and the US Army Color Guard.
