Ivan E. Cox

Ivan E. Cox, 84 of Blue Rock, passed away at 5:13 am, Thursday June 20, 2013 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House, Zanesville. Ivan was born October 9, 1928 in Cannelville, the son of the late Forrest Cox and Cynthia (Cartwright) Jones. He retired in 1986 from Peabody Coal where he worked as an operator and underground miner. Ivan is survived by his wife of 64 years, Kathleen M. (Riddlebarger) Cox whom he married March 19, 1949; his son Stephen (Cheryl) Cox of Newton, MA and his daughter Kathy (Michael) Reed of New Philadelphia; grandchildren Justin, Jeremy and Shannon Tilley and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ivan is preceded in death by his brothers LeRoy Cox and Neal Cox and his sisters Ina Reed and Zoe Calendine. In keeping with his wishes, Ivan's body will be cremated and no services will be held. www.farusfh.com
