Herbert “Glenn” Howard, 29 formerly of Zanesville, of Fort Drum, NY, passed away unexpectedly at his sister’s residence on May 10, 2015.
Glenn was born June 17, 1985 at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH; the son of Marilyn Howard of Zanesville and Bruce (Stephanie) Howard of Atlanta, GA. He was a 2004 graduate of Philo High School where he played football and ran track. He was an avid Buckeyes fan and loved to root on the OSU football team. He always enjoyed looking and smelling good, he loved to spend time outdoors cooking on his grill and spending time with his family. He volunteered coaching youth football in NY and Missouri. In the military he worked as a Health Inspector and he was very active in promoting nutritional health. He was a former member of the Duncan Falls United Methodist Church and was baptized in the faith. More important than all of this he loved his children with all of his heart!
Glenn’s magnetic personality allowed him to inspire others to pursue their dreams and overcome their fears.
Glenn was honorably discharged from the US Army in April 2015, having served in Iraq from 2009 to 2010. He was a big supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project and he was very proud of the life the US Army enabled him to have.
