Helen E. Mason, 83, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, at the Community Hospice Truman House. She married the love of her life, Thomas Mason on August 7, 1965, and went home just in time to spend their 60th wedding anniversary with him.
She was born on September 15, 1941, in New Concord, the daughter of the late Clarence and Hazel (Wise) Hardy. A dedicated homemaker, Helen was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always put her family first. She made it her mission to ensure her family was cared for and supported.
Helen found joy in crafting and especially loved camping trips. But above all, her greatest happiness came from helping her family in any way she could. She was a woman of strong faith and lived her life in her Christian beliefs.
Helen is survived by her three daughters and their husbands: Lee and Stu Bryan, Mary and Jim Poe, and Fran and Dennis Terazzi; her grandchildren, Bryan (Braxston) Mauge, Sara (Rob) Gray, Emily (Tyler) Jolivette, Ashley Hardin, Jimmy Poe, Chris (Tiffany) Poe, Rachelle Terazzi, Derek Terazzi, and Seth Terazzi; and her great-grandchildren, August, Abby, Mason, Lilly, Sophie, Xayden, Xaydrianna, Xaydrian, and Killian. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Mason, on March 16, 1985; her brothers and sisters-in law Lawrence (Patricia) Hardy and Robert (Edith) Hardy, her nephews, Terry Hardy and Larry Hardy, sisters-in-law Helen (Arthur) Thomas and Saundra Anderson, brother-in-law Pat Mason, and mother-in-law Helen Anderson.
A celebration of her life will take place at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at the Bethel Church Cemetery, 10015 Bethel Road, Norwich, Ohio 43767. Pastor Keith Taylor will officiate the service.
