Helen F. Kastelic

Helen F. Kastelic, 90 of Cumberland, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 10, 2021, with her loving children at her side.  She has been reunited with the love of her life of 72 years, Lyman Kastelic and her daughter, Anna Childers.Helen was born in Weir, KS, on June 4, 1931. She is the daughter of the late Sam D. and Faye E. (Allred) Ross. They were both known for their book store ‘Ma and Pa’s Books’ in Country Bits & Pieces.  They also loved to go to the Dog races at Wheeling Downs.  It was there they enjoyed spending time with the many friends they had met over the years.

Helen is survived by her children, John (Janet) Kastelic, Faye Anna (Mike) Fulper, Sarah Kastelic, Mary Ellen (Gib) Wetzler, Charles (Louella) Kastelic and Jim Kastelic; her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and her siblings, Joyce Ann (Maurice) Scott, Nancy (Dave) Wallace, Barbara (Gary) Semonick.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Lyman Gene Kastelic, who passed away on July 5, 2016; her daughter, Anna Marie Kastelic; and her siblings, Samuel, Charles, James, Mary Lou, David, Thomas, Sue and Rebecca.

Visitations will be from 11am to 1pm on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at the Farus Funeral Home of Cumberland, 343 W. Main Street, Cumberland, OH, 43732, where funeral services will be held following visitations at 1pm. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Cumberland Cemetery.
