Helen J. Archibald, 93 of Philo, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at her residence.
Helen was born on December 4, 1931, in Noble County, to the late Wayne F. and Verna (Geary) Yerian. Helen dedicated her career to working at Dr. Schroder’s office, where she continuously helped patients with her doting care. She also worked at J.C. Penny’s and Curl’s Royal Blue.
She was a devoted member of the Philo Baptist Church. In her free time, Helen enjoyed singing hymns, listening to music, as well as sewing different things for her family, but most importantly she loved the time she spent with her family. She devoted her life to caring for those she loved, always putting others before herself. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend, Helen’s kindness, strength, and selflessness touched everyone who knew her.
Helen is survived by her son and daughter, Bruce (Marilyn) Archibald and Della Frazier; her grandchildren, Lynne Frazier, Betty Frazier Daniel, Alan (Michelle) Frazier, Sierrah Archibald, Orion (Evan) Archibald, Micah (Lauren) Archibald, Andrew Spring, Leah Spring; her great-grandchildren, Nancy Elmore, Jackie (Casey) Daniel, Robbie Elmore, Rhea Daniel, Alaina Frazier, Raider Frazier-Skeens, Tucker Archibald, and Tytus Archibald; her great-great-grandson, Jack, as well as one great-great-granddaughter on the way, Lainey Lynn; her brother, Raymond Yerian; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Archibald, who passed away on April 26, 1998; her daughter, Darla Spring, who passed away on July 29, 2018; her sons-in-law, Lynn Frazier and Todd Spring; as well as her brother, Wayne Yerian Jr.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Helen’s caregivers Kylie, Sherry, and Samantha and the staff of Interim Hospice.
Visitations for Helen will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM following visitations. Pastor Steve Harrop will officiate the service. Helen will be laid to rest beside Richard in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
