Harry Kopchak

March 9, 1929 — August 14, 2016

Harry Kopchak, 87 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2016 at the Highland Oaks Health Care Center in McConnelsville.  Harry was born in Zanesville on March 9, 1929.  He is the son of the late Onek and Edna (Lack) Kopchak.

Harry worked as a self-employed carpenter, and spent most of his life doing what he loved, working his farm and taking care of his animals.   He is a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in South Zanesville.

Harry is survived by his five children Kay Beanard, Deborah (Tim) Poulson, Ruth (Ken) Birchfield, Kenneth (Terri) Kopchak and Bryan (Jodie) Kopchak; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; his brother Andrew (Betty) Kopchak and his sister Helen Ellis.

In addition to his parents, Harry is preceded in death by the love of his life for 60 years, Barbara (Ardrey) Kopchak; his daughter Jane Powers; his siblings Walter Kopchak, Joseph Kopchak and Ann Shuey and son-in-law George Beanard.

A memorial service will be held 2 pm on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1705 Pine Street, Zanesville, OH.
