Harold "Jerry" Smith

Harold “Jerry” Smith, 77, of Beverly, formerly of Norwich passed away on January 30, 2020.  Jerry was born in Marietta, Ohio on February 25, 1942 to Harold A. and Pauline (Ingraham) Smith.  He worked in factory maintenance at Lumi-Lite Candle for over 38 years before retiring.  He loved camping, listening to the Reds on the Radio and cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Harold is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lorna (Shepherd) Smith, his sons Jason Smith (Ashley Zeigler) and Justin (Debra) Smith, three grandsons, Carter, Tyson, & Conley.  He is also survived by his brothers, Steve (Marsha) Smith, John Smith, Brian (Yolanda) Smith, his sister-in-law, Fon Smith, and on Lorna’s side of the family three brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law, as well as his dog Huxley, unequivocally man’s best friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Charles Smith, his nephew, Jeff Smith, and his brothers-in-law, Dale and Ken Shepherd.

A private family service will be held on Monday, February 3rd.  Farus Funeral Home of New Concord is caring for the family.
