Gerald R. Hardy

Gerald Raymond Hardy, 86 of New Concord, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Friday, November 25, 2022.

Gerald was born in New Concord Ohio on August 29, 1936.  He is the son of the late Clyde and Maggie (Faulkiner) Hardy.  He retired in 1996 after 31 years working for General Electric.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, feeding his birds, turkey, and deer.

Gerald was a loving husband to his wife of 60 years, Geraldine “Gerry” (Acton) Hardy, whom he married September 28, 1962; he is survived by his brother, Russell (Betty) Hardy and his sister, Sue (Bill) Ault; and many nieces and nephews.

Gerald is preceded in death by his his brother, Bill Hardy; his brother and sister-in-law, Clyde (Marge) Hardy Jr. and his sister and brother-in-law, Eileen (Carl) Mathers.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in New Concord, Ohio with Pastor Brian Kittner officiating.  Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
