George K. Huhn

George K. Huhn, 77 of New Concord, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2021 while under the care of Genesis Hospice at the Morrison House.

George was born in Cumberland on November 19, 1943.  He is the son of the late Henry and Alta (Frazier) Huhn. George worked for several years in the oil fields and he also owned and operated his own mowing business for many years. He was an avid NASCAR fan.

George is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joan Huhn, whom he married June 7, 1969; his brothers, Richard Huhn of Cambridge, Wendell Huhn of Cumberland, and Joe Huhn of Centerburg; two sisters, Mary Lou (Dana) McKean of Duncan Falls and Carol Hamilton of New Concord; his sister-in-law’s, Delores Huhn and Carol Huhn; his sister in law, Sue Yoho and brother-in-law, John (Michelle) Yoho, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his four brothers, Jack, Bill, James “Jim”, and Ray Huhn.

Visitations will be from 3 to 5pm on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord.  Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, January, 18, 2021.  Pastor Keith Taylor will officiate the service.  He will be laid to rest in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in New Concord.
