George F. Glass Jr.

George Floyd Glass Jr., 71 of New Concord, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at the Beckett House in New Concord.

George was born on October 1, 1946.  He is the son of the late George F. Glass Sr. and Estella (Birch) Glass.  George worked as a heavy equipment operator for King Quarries in Zanesville.

George is survived by his wife Janice A. (Tom) Glass, whom he married September 23, 1967; his children George F. (Sandy) Glass III, William L. (Melissa Ashcraft) Glass, Jeffrey S. (Heather Justis) Glass and Jason N. (Debbie) Tom; his grandchildren, Keri, George IV “Bubba”, Makala, Jonathan, Shelbie, Tylor, Levi, Laikin, Wyatt, Allison and Megan; his siblings, Terry L. Glass, Opal (Roger) Brown, Tommy (Tesa) Glass and Robert (Martha) Glass.

In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Glass and Vicki Ankrum.

In keeping with his wishes his body will be cremated and a burial of ashes will take place at 11am Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Salt Creek Cemetery in Chandlersville.  The Farus Funeral Home of New Concord is caring for the Glass Family.
