George H. Fisher

George H. Fisher, 88 of New Concord, passed away at 9:23 pm, Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville.l George was born Sept. 11, 1925 in New Concord, the son of the late Alvin and Gertrude (Ryan) Fisher. He retired from McGraw Eddison after 44 years where he worked as a welder. George is survived by his wife Mary "Katy" Fisher; his daughter Sharon White of New Concord; his brother Bill (Phyllis) Fisher of New Concord; a sister Marion Fisher of New Concord; his grandchildren Jerry (Kayla) Wheeler, Angela Wheeler, Mark Wheeler and David White Jr; two step granddaughters Danielle (Cory) Sour and Elizabeth (Verlin) Thacker; his great-grandchildren Valerie Savage, Hunter Hickham, Wyatt Hiles, Jordan Wheeler and Jayde Wheeler and his step-great grandchildren Bryice O'leary, Collins Sour and Michael Thacker. In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his son Steven R. Fisher. In keeping with his wishes, George's body will be cremated and the family will hold a private memorial service.
