Gary B. Anders

Gary B. Anders Sr. 71, formerly of Philo, passed away July 7, 2014 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark. Gary was born May 3, 1943 in Zanesville the son of the late Harlan S. Anders Sr. and Olive Nellie (Anderson) Anders. He previously worked for the Ohio Ferro Alloy and was the owner and operator of Anders Water Well Drilling. He was a loving father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. Gary is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara (Nelson) Anders whom he married October 26, 1963; his sons Gary Anders Jr of Philo, David (Tammy) Anders of Heath; his daughter Deborah Anders of Gahanna; his brother Wallace (Christine) Anders of Alexandra, Oh; his two sisters Una Clapper of Fresno, Oh, Sally Laughery of Fl; his sister-in-law Mary Anders of Philo; his six grandchildren Tara (Kyle) Armstrong, Cole (Amanda) Anders, Zach McVicker, Nate McVicker, Mariah Vaughn and Sarah Larrison and his great-grandchildren Brooklyn Armstrong, Brennan Armstrong, Gracie Arnold, Mathew Larrison. In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his brother Harlan Anders Jr. Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 1 pm Thursday with Rev. Karen Osborn officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery. www.farusfh.com
