Frederick A. Harper

Frederick Andrew Harper Jr., 66 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2020 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House.

Fred was born in Zanesville on June 11, 1953.  He is the son of Ellen M. (Dobbins) Harper of Zanesville and the late Frederick Harper Sr.  He retired from Seminal County Road Department in Sanford, FL where he worked as a semi-truck driver, he also worked for Wheeler Fertilizer in Ovido, FL.  He was raised Baptist by faith and he was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Fred is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara (Hoyle) Harper, whom he married November 21, 1976; his two daughters, Patricia (Daniel) Jewell and Serina Ann Harper Wilson and John Butler; his three grandchildren, Andrew and Ashley Jewell and Dalton Wilson; his great granddaughter, Paityn Jo Jewell; his sisters, Becky (Sam) Stewart, Ellen (John) Wolfe and Pam Bailey and his brother, Doug E. Harper.

In addition to his father, Fred is preceded in death by his brothers, Carl Harper, David Harper, and Max Bailey.

In keeping with his wishes, a caring cremation will take place.  The Farus Funeral Home is caring for the Harper family.
