Franklin R. Cogswell, 57 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2016 while under the care of Genesis Hospice at the Morrison House. Frank was born in Joliet, IL. on June 3, 1958. He is the son of Lucy L. Cogswell Stalnaker of Zanesville and the late Thomas Elwood Cogswell.
Frank proudly served his country in the US Air Force for 11 years, serving in the SAC Unit in Saudi Arabia. He previously worked for the New Bakery in Zanesville.
Frank is survived by his mother, Lucy L. Cogswell Stalnaker; his brothers Ronald Cogswell of London, OH, Donald Cogswell of Duncan Falls and Nick Weber of WI; his sisters Kathi (James) Hunkins of Fultonham and Autumn Cogswell; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Frank is preceded in death by his step-father Roy Stalnaker, his brother James Paul Cogswell; his nephew Michael Cogswell and a sister-in-law Cookie Cogswell.
Memorial Services for Frank will be held at 11 am, Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Brighton Presbyterian Church on Lexington Avenue in Zanesville with Rev. Sue Ellen Skinner officiating. He will be laid to rest in The Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Full military honors will be given by The U.S. Air Force Color Guard and The George Selsam V.F.W. Post #1058.
