Forrest W. “Frostie” Caldwell, age 69, of Norwich, was taken into the presence of Jesus on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge.
Forrest, being born in Zanesville, Ohio, was the son of the late Harold and Nancy “Virginia” (Gillespie) Caldwell. He was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, the best friend of his wife for 45 years and a proud father of his son. Forrest was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in New Concord for over 35 years.
He was the co-owner of Signs Limited with his wife, Connie, and was previously employed as a propane delivery driver for AmeriGas. In his retirement, he found satisfaction as a custodian for St. John’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed auto mechanics, flying RC helicopters, helping others and spending time with his family and his dog, Gabby.
Forrest is survived by his wife of 42 years, Connie J. (Davidson) Caldwell, whom he married on February 12, 1978; his son, Kyle (Sabrina) Caldwell of Norwich; his three grandsons, Zeth, Aiden and Kable; his brother, Darrell (Susan) Caldwell of Norwich and his sister, Carol Caldwell of Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Friendship Baptist Church in New Concord, Ohio, with Pastor Brian Moffatt officiating.
