Floyd V. Sims

Floyd V. Sims, 82 of Zanesville passed away peacefully on December 15, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Floyd was born in Zanesville on September 18, 1936.  He is the son of the late Ernest A. and Mary T. (Switzer) Sims.  He retired in 1995 after 37 years with Owens Brockway Glass where he worked in the hot end as an operator.  He was an avid outdoors man, he loved to hunt and work in his garden, he also loved music and loved to cook.

Floyd is survived by his wife of 20 years, Regina Sims, whom he married on September 12, 1998; his children, Edward (Susie) Sims, Michael (Susan) Sims, Chad Sims, Lori (Jerry) Wickham all of Zanesville, Tena Bickford of Norwich and Amy Beach of Zanesville; his sixteen grandchildren; his nine great grandchildren and his brother, Earl (Sarah) Sims of Zanesville.

In addition to his parents, Floyd is preceded in death by his three brothers, Harold, Fred, Jim and his sisters, Helen McBee, Delores Sims and an infant sister, Norma Jean Sims.

Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday with Pastor Gordon Ferguson officiating.  He will be laid to rest in St. Paul Cemetery.
